Provenance Ex-Rose-Hutchison Auction 1949 lot 215 – Not many examples exist in pairs cut square of this printing and so this example is quite Rare even with slight condition issues detailed below – 1st Printing Head Die I [Fairly early state of wear on stone (neckline no dots between hair near crown)] Frame Die I [typical pale or dull shade of printing] – Wide spacing/setting watermark position 2 – 6 – Accompanied by recent 2017 BPA certificate stating ‘filing fold between impressions? Toned’ – PM type 2 (JC – 9 bars) & part Bombay PM in black probably Giles type X1 in usage between 1851-67

Margins all round even cream-stained paper fold between stamps near blue wavy line with deeper tone patch see scan
