Provenance Ex-Burrus Auction 1963 lot 315 – Rare in such fine fresh cut square condition – 3rd Printing Head Die III [Earliest usage of this head die evidenced by lack of any wear] Frame Die I [Plating Jatia Stone R based on (7) small red flaw middle frame line NW of I, red flaw inner white circle west of S – (8) Confirmed flaws 1 & 4 red flaws bottom frame both ends] – Wide spacing/setting watermark position 7-8 with standard centre sheet fold found on all wide setting sheets – Light neat PM types 1 (JC) sub-type small round dots - A very similar pair same positions 7-8 Jatia Stone R, but on cover is found in the Royal collection!
